Denver, Greeley, Wiley, Alamosa, and Cortez host annual event in 2022

After holding “virtual” events in 2020 and 2021, the Independent Bankers of Colorado (IBC) and Otteson Shapiro have announced the details of a series of five live Community Banker Roundtables that will be held around the state of Colorado in June, 2022.  

The sessions will include lunch, a briefing on legislative issues impacting banks, and a regulator panel, moderated by Otteson Shapiro Partner John Podvin. The candid discussion will include current issues of interest to the banking community, examination “hot” topics, and much more.  Regulators from the Division of Banking, FDIC, OCC, and Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City have been invited. 

Panel discussion topics include:

  • Post COVID/CARES Act
  • Leadership turnover at agencies
  • LIBOR/CECL implementation issues
  • CRA proposal
  • Bank mergers
  • Crypto/Stablecoin/Technology Sprints
  • Cannabis/Hemp
  • Banking and economic conditions
  • Computer Security Incident Notification Final Rule
  • Rate sensitivity
  • Hedging activity

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with colleagues, regulators, and the IBC at any of the five locations. Roundtable sessions are from Noon to 3:30pm.

Roundtable Registration Information 

IBC Roundtable Members attend Roundtable meetings for FREE. The admission cost for IBC member banks is $200, while non-member banks attend for $250. Banks that sign up may send an unlimited number of attendees to that roundtable.   Registration deadline is one week prior to each roundtable. No money will be refunded after that date. Substitutes are welcome.
