Otteson Shapiro partner Peter Morgan and co-founder/senior counsel Stephen Shapiro have been selected to the 2027 Colorado Super Lawyers list. The selection marks Peter’s eighth consecutive year on the list and Stephen’s 18th. Super Lawyers recognizes no more than five percent of attorneys in each state, based on independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Because peers drive the evaluations, the recognition reflects the respect of fellow lawyers, including those on the other side of a case.
For businesses facing a construction-defect claim, a cyber incident or a claim against directors and officers, an insurance policy can be one of their most valuable assets. Otteson Shapiro’s insurance recovery team represents policyholders in these disputes, working to secure the benefits clients have paid for.
Peter leads the firm’s insurance recovery practice and has more than 25 years of experience in coverage disputes and bad faith litigation. His work spans nearly every type of insurance, from commercial general liability and professional liability to cyber and directors and officers coverage. Peter has litigated and tried cases in state and federal courts, appellate courts and arbitration, and he lectures on insurance coverage and claims handling.
Stephen brings more than 30 years of experience as an insurance coverage and bad faith lawyer, providing clients and the firm’s insurance recovery team with insights that help guide strategy. He represents policyholders, construction professionals, developers, financial institutions and businesses, and he guides strategy for the firm’s insurance recovery team.
Congratulations to Stephen and Peter on this recognition.
