Joel Harder

Joel Harder is an attorney based out of Otteson Shapiro’s Denver office. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and other business transactions, with an emphasis on advising financial institutions on growth opportunities, succession planning, and other strategic decisions. Before joining the firm, Joel founded and led Capitol Culture, a civic-leadership organization for elected officials in Oklahoma, and authored When Leaders Matter, a book on leadership and institutional governance. His prior experience advising public officials, business leaders, and nonprofit executives provides a valuable perspective in guiding clients through complex governance and transactional decisions. Joel earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
